Over the years I've been driving up to or through North Conway and have always noticed how inviting Mount Cocorua looked out the driver's window. Last time was with my son and he said the next time we're passing by let's take a day hike up it.... well that should be in a week or two. New Hampshire climbing guides make no mention of Chocorua so I looked up a description of Chocorua in the Hiker's Guide to New Hampshire but still could not find any reference to any rock climbing possibilities there... only one reference to 'a friendly crag' which from past hiking guide experiences refers to at best a short 5.0 or 4.0 with exposure.
Are there any (I'd assume slab) rock routes on Mt. Chocorua?
Or are there any areas near the north western part of Lake Winnipesaukee?
thanks
