I've been climbing pine trees for a number of years and was wondering if anyone has experienced the annoying problem of the sap getting your fingers? Would using chalk help this problem? Any suggestions?

But then you have to deal with the creosote Karl. I'd rather deal with the sap myself. At least some saps are mildly entertaining, while others are merely annoying. Sounds like James met one of the more irritating saps while tree climbing. I recommend spraying in the face with seltzer water.
