Hey im gonna attempt the Tuckerman Ravine Route on Mt. Washington this winter in January. I was wondering, since its a lot of mild ice climbing, should me and my partner simul-solo? or rope up?

In the past I have typically waited to climb Tuckerman's headwall until latter in the season, primarily for avalanche reasons.. The Lion Head Winter route, Raymond's Cataract or possibly South Gulley in Huntington's might be preferred.

Do check at Pinkham for overall conditions as well as for specific avalanche conditions before you leave.

Have a great trip!
