Anyone know if the West Winfield trailhead is accessible this time of year? How much snow is up there? Been there and done that? Let me know.

Jim, I'm not sure about the Winfield trailhead, but I did it from the north from the LaPlata gulch trailhead at the end of last febuary. The road wasent too bad but you probably want to have 4wd. The winfield road is about the same elevation so I guess it would be similar. the NE ridge on LaPlata is a fun scramble - watch the forecasts for high winds though
