A dog was spotted at the North Col of Everest during the spring climbing season. No one knew how the dog got there. People believed it was from the Ronbuk Monastery (at about 5200m) and had climbed up by itself. It rested and played around at C1, climbed quite a bit higher above the North Col, but was turned back 'because of lack of proper equipment' according to this website:
http://www.chinaclimbing.com/news/highestdog.htm The pictures were taken by Nima Tsering of TMA.
'Sometimes people didn't climb as well as the dog.' the website commented.
Makes you wonder what those died on Everest have become after reincarnation.
