So which peaks were the most expensive? I'm betting Everest was #1 with Vinson coming in a close second.

when did he clim Everest ? it depends if you climb from Tibet or Nepal. Everest from Nepal is the most expensive one, then Mt. Vinson. I wonder, that a 26 year old guy has so much money ?

'SPONSORSHIP'. 'IPO' dot.com rich relative.

Pick one. I figure if he'd climed the first 6, and said to a company - 'how would it sound on TV - REI-sponsored John Smith climbs Everest, etc.', that might get a reaction.

I seem to recall reading that although the permit is cheaper in Tibet, the other costs of the expedition (transport, etc.) are higher than in Nepal, making it almost as expensive than an ascent by the Normal Route.

This was the answer which this guy gave in the interview. May be I will also start doing this stuff and hope some one will sponsor my trips, with some luck I might make it to the base of the mountain )

How do you train when you live in the flats of Louisiana?

I have a program that works really well for me. I run maybe five to six miles [8 to 9.6 kilometers] a day, I lift weights about an hour a day—mostly for the upper body—and I do stairs, either the Stairmaster or the stairs in one of the buildings where I have an office.

That’s mostly what climbing is all about: your heart, your lungs, your aerobic capacity, and your overall strength.
